ウィンチェスターのお気に入りショップ、ハンブルドンの真裏におしゃれなカフェが出来ていました!
I found a lovely cafe just back of my favourite shop, Hambledon in Winchester.
コーヒー・ラブ。
ランチタイムはたくさんの人でにぎわっていましたが、
席がたくさんあったので滑り込めました!
Coffee Lab.
There were a lot of people in lunch time, but it was spacious and a few seats were available, we could get seats.
すっきりモダンなインテリア。
The interior is simple and modern.
コーヒーカップの水色もきれい。
Love the light blue of their coffee cups.
ランチにきたのですが、ずらりと並んだケーキに、これはティータイムにも戻ってこなければならない…!と再訪を決意。
We came for lunch, but if you see the mountains of cakes....you must come back for teatime!
ランチはサンドイッチ類。
サンドイッチがそんなに好きではない私は、スープとか流行のブランチメニューとかあってくれたほうが嬉しいのですが、
うれしかったのは、このブリオッシュのサンドイッチがあったこと。
がちがちのバゲットやぱさぱさのサンドイッチパンだと残念なので、
サンドイッチはホットか、ブリオッシュ生地が好き。
ここのはふかふかでおいしかったです!
They have sandwiches for lunch.
I personally don't fancy sandwiches....
I prefer soup or brunch menu because it would be hard to eat if the bread is hard baguette or dry sandwich bread....
But they had brioche sandwich!!
It was soft and tasty, loved it!!
さて、日曜はお店が4時に閉まってしまうウィンチェスター。
外も真っ暗だし、ちょうどショッピングが終わったこの時間でお茶できたのでグッド・タイミングでした。
ケーキもおいしそうだったけれど、私が見た瞬間決めたのは、シナモンバン。
イギリスではなかなか見かけないので見つけたら即買ってしまう。
シナモンの味と甘さがちょーっと足りなかったかな!
相方さんはチョコレートケーキ。
チョコレートスポンジと生クリームの組み合わせが大好きな私。（チョコｘチョコじゃなくて、チョコｘミルクがいい。）
この場合生クリームじゃなくてバタークリーム（チーズクリーム?）だったけれど、これが甘さ控えめでおいしかった!!
見た目は完全にイギリススィーツですが、典型的なイギリススィーツよりも甘さがめちゃくちゃ控えめでおいしい! （シナモンバンはむしろ控えすぎた!）
スポンジもしっとりで最高!
ただしサイズはイギリスサイズなので、相方さんはそれでも甘さでおなかがもたれたといってましたが。
おいしいコーヒーとよりどりみどりのケーキがおすすめのカフェです!
On Sunday, shops in Winchester are closed at 4pm.
It was already dark outside, so it was good timing to go to cafe after 4pm.
The cakes absolutely looked stunning but I had to choose cinnamon bun!
I love cinnamon bun and I don't really see it in UK. (It's not cinnamon swirl!)
I had to choose it if I find it!
It was not sweet enough for me.... but still good!
My mister had a beautiful chocolate cake.
Love chocolate sponge with cream.
It was just perfect, the sponge was moist and not too sweet!
However, it was a huge slice and my mister said it was too much though...
But their coffee was good and a good range of cakes, I loved the cafe!
