We went to Lewes! It had been ages that we went there.
いいお天気!
ステキな秋晴れでした。
The weather was beautiful!
いつもルイスに来るとヴィンテージハントで忙しいのですが、
この日は久々にハイストリートの反対側のほうへ。
いつも反対側のお店があるほうにしか行かないので、本当に久々に行きました。
古ーい建物があってきれいな町並みです。
I am usually very busy to hunt vintages when I come to Lewes.
But, I went to the opposite side of the town this time...
Lovely old town!
公園にもちょっと足を伸ばしてみたら、紅葉がとってもきれいでした。
イギリスは紅葉というよりは黄葉のほうが多くて、赤いのは珍しい。
We went for a walk to a park too.
Autumn leaves were so beautiful there.
今年は色づきがすごくきれいです!
銀杏の木も、イギリスで初めて見たかも?
I think that this year's autumn leaves are stunning.
こんな晴れ晴れとした美しい天気も、ものの１時間ぐらいでみるみるうちに崩れ、
またいつものどよーん、びしょびしょな天気に…はぁ。
This beautiful weather didn't stay long.... as usual.
An hour later, it's became grey and wet again.
晴れてる間に町を散策しておいて本当によかった!
ハイストリートにあるカフェに久々にやってきました。
I was really glad that I walked around the town while it was sunny!
We went to a cafe in High Street for lunch.
こちらのカフェは、カフェなんだけど本格的なお料理も楽しめます。
この日のランチは贅沢にも鹿肉のフィレ!
(贅沢すぎなのでこれとスープを二人でシェア。笑）
お肉がとろけて、ほっぺが落ちるってこのこと!? みたいな食感でございました!
ブログで紹介してると思ったらしてなかった、このカフェ。
今度はお茶しに来たいと思います。
It was a cafe, but they have really good food.
We had a gorgeous venison for lunch!!
It was so good and melting in my mouth!
I thought I wrote about the cafe in my blog before, but I haven't.
I will come here for tea next time!
最近、ルイスに来るのはヴィンテージフェアがあるときのみなのですが、
今回はいまいちヴィンテージハントな気分ではなく。（いちおうするけど）
今回はヴィンテージのお店よりも、セレクトショップを中心にお散歩。
ルイスは本当にかわいくてセンスのいいお店が多くて、それだけでも来る価値がある!
クリスマスショッピングはロンドンよりもルイスにまた来たいな～。
I always do vintage hunt when I come to Lewes, however, somehow I didn't feel like doing it this time....
But I did shopping, specially select shops.
There were lots of cute shops in Lewes, you will find loads of lovely stuff more than in London..
I think I will do Christmas shopping in Lewes next year.
ルイスに行くときはティータイムもはずせません。
いつも行くところはだいたい決まってますが、そのうちのひとつがクローズしてしまって、大ショック!
結局またいつものニードルメーカーのカフェに。
チョコ＆オレンジのケーキとアップル＆スパイスのケーキにチャイラテ。
ケーキのサイズに二人でびっくり。
ロンドンだったら確実に倍の値段で半分以下のサイズだよ…。
ルイスはカフェも最高!
大好きな町を余すことなく堪能して、さて、返ろうかと思ったら、電車がキャンセルで帰宅の時間が行きの倍以上かかったよ…
最近、この路線の電車は本当に最悪です。
でもルイスは楽しかったので、また行くんだろうな。
You can't miss teatime in Lewes.
I usually go to same cafes, but I was shocked because one of these cafe was closed down...
In the end, we went to our usual, Old Needle Makers Cafe.
We had a chocolate & orange cake and a Apple and spice cake, and chai latte.
They were so huge!! I love cafes in Lewes....
We really enjoyed visiting Lewes, however, the train on the way back was cancelled......
It took three times more than the outward journey....
The Southern trains suck today....
