We went there for tea.
Kubixlのお二人に教えてもらった、Hoveのオサレカフェへ。
One of them is a clothes shop, and the other is this general shop with cafe.
In their general shop, there are lots of lovely items for the interior in the natural colours...
They have various stuff for Christmas gift and decoration in this season.
Hoveにあるi gigi。
同じ通りに2店舗あって、一つは服のお店。
もうひとつがこちら、生活雑貨のお店とカフェになっています。
雑貨はナチュラルなカラーで統一。
今は当然、クリスマスギフトやクリスマスデコレーションに使えそうなアイテムがずらり。
The first floor was the cafe.
It's opened space and not separated from the kitchen, but I didn't feel uncomfortable.
The large window let plenty of light in, it was very homey.
２階がカフェスペースになっています。
キッチンとのくぎりがないのですが、特に居心地が悪いわけでもなく、むしろアットホームな感じ。
Their cakes on the counter were so various and looked very delicious!!
鏡の前にずらりと並んだケーキは、種類も豊富でとってもおいしそう!
We chose an orange & almond cake (left) and a chocolate & chilli cake (right).
Both of them were gluten free (we don't have gluten allergy, just we wanted to eat them).
Usually I don't really like gluten free bread or cakes, but they were so moist and delicious!!
I loved the cream with the orange cake, it tasted orange slightly and just really nice.
I wonder how chilli taste in the chocolate cake, but I didn't recognize chilli.
Also it was not too sweet, and it was just perfect taste.
This cafe is in Hove, but very close to Brighton too.
私たちが選んだのは、オレンジとアーモンドのケーキ(左）と、チョコレートとチリのケーキ(右）。
どちらもグルテンフリーですが(狙ったわけじゃなく、食べたかったから。）ぱさぱさでなく、しっとりおいしい!
オレンジとアーモンドのケーキについてるクリームも、ほんのりオレンジの味がしてすごくおいしい!
チョコレートケーキは、チリの味がどんなもんかと思ったのですが、まったく気づかないほど。
それよりもチョコの味が主張しすぎず、甘すぎずでちょうどよかった!
Hoveといってもブライトンからも歩いていけるので、ブライトンへ行く人にもぜひ。
