本当はマーケットで何か買ってピクニックするつもりだったけれど、
風が強かったので今回はお店に入ることに。
ちょうどこの店のドアに張ってあったポスターの「和牛ビーフバーガー」と、
テラス席の人たちのかわいいヴィンテージカップに引き寄せられて、ここに決定。
There were some restaurants I wanted to go in Venn Street in Clapham Common.
We wanted to do picnic with food in the Venn Street Market,
but it was very windy that day, we decided to be somewhere inside.
We were interested in their "Wagyu (Japanese beef) burger"
and (specially I was ) cute vintage cups, so we decided to have lunch there.
オレンジとブルーでポップな印象のお店だけれど、
そこにクラシカルなヴィンテージ食器が 、まさに私のツボ。
They have a modern interior with pop blue & orange colour, but with classical vintage tableware. Loved it.
カップもソーサーもポットも全部ばらばら、だけどそれがまたいい。
この一人用ティーポット、集めているんだけれどなかなか見つけられなくて、
このポット二つともお買い上げしたかったなあ…(もちろん無理でしたが。）
All the tableware is not matched, but that's lovely.
I love these small teapots for 1 person, I am collecting, but can't really find them in markets.
I really wanted to buy them..... ( of course it was not possible...)
さて、おまちかねのランチ!
マッシュルームリゾットと、和牛ビーフバーガーを二人でシェア。
マッシュルームリゾットはスーパーで見かけるようなありきたりのきのこではなくて、
ファーマーズマーケットでしか見ないようなワイルドマッシュルーム。
マッシュルームリゾットってクリーミーなのが多いけれど、
このリゾットはきのこの味がしっかり、なのにあっさりでとてもおいしかった!
和牛ビーフバーガーは、基本はなんと5ポンドというお値打ち価格。
私たちは大きめのお肉とポテトでプラス価格。
基本サイズ(パンは大きめのお肉を注文しても基本サイズのまま）は
手のひらに収まるくらいのサイズなので男の人には物足りないかもしれないけれど、
お肉は柔らか～!
これはまた今度、ディナーを試さなくては!
Anyway, lunch time!
We ordered a wild mushroom risotto and a Wagyu beef burger to share.
I loved the mushroom risotto, it was very much mushroom taste, but not too creamy.
The basic price of Wagyu beef burger was 5 pounds!!
We added some money for the bigger burger and chips.
The basic size of the burger is small not enough to satisfy men's stomach,
but the meat was so tender and juicy.....
I must try their dinner menu!!
