まさに奇跡です。神のお恵み!!
この日がさしている数日のあいだに、光合成しなければ!!
というわけで、晴れている週末は、もう断然ピクニック。
今回私たちが選んだのは、南ロンドンのClapham Common。
この公園の目の前にあったのが、こちらのかわいいフレンチ・カフェ。
It's been very good weather in London.
It's miracle!! God's blessing!!
We have to do sun bathing while the sun is out!!
So we must go for a picnic in weekends if it's sunny.
This time, we chose Clapham Common in South London.
There was a cute French cafe in front of the park.
だいぶ前に来たときも気になっていたんですよね。
今回お弁当も何も持たずに来た私たち、ランチを帰るデリを探していて、
このカフェを見たとたん、お互い何も言わずにふらふらと吸い込まれるように入っていきました。
I knew the cafe before but I have never been inside.
We didn't have lunch at that time so that we were looking for a deli or cafe to buy lunch.
As soon as we found this cafe, we just went inside without say anything each other.
店内をぐるりと囲む、太陽の光がいっぱい入ってくるウィンドウの目の前には、
Clapham Commonのグリーンが広がって。
Lots of sunshine from the big windows and greens in front of them.
店内にはおいしそうなケーキがずらり。
So many beautiful cakes.....
店名にもなっているマカロンはとってもカラフル。
Macarons which is the name of the cafe too, are so colourful.
フルーツタルトのような素朴な焼き菓子のほかにも、おいしそうなパティシエ・ケーキがずらり。
下に並んだエクレアを見て、相方さん、「ここは間違いなく、正真正銘のフレンチ!」と、フランス人のお墨付きです。
（フレンチのエクレアはチョコがけで、中もチョコクリームなのです。カスタードは邪道だそうで。）
They have traditional tarts and fantastic patissier cakes.
When my French partner saw their eclairs, he admitted that the cafe is genuine French cafe.
(French eclair only has chocolate cream, not custard, according to my partner...)
天井もかわいい!
ここでお茶したかったけれど、この日はやっぱりピクニック気分だったので、テイクアウェイで…。
Cute angels are in the ceiling....
I wanted to have a tea there, but we just took lunch away...
早速目の前のClapham Commonへ。
We went to Clapham Common in front of this cafe.
お天気はいいけれど、太陽が雲に隠れたときと出ているときの温度差が激しすぎ。
太陽が出ているときはじりじりと焦げるほど暑いけれど、
いったん雲に隠れると一気に涼しい。風が吹こうものならひんやりする!!
温度差、軽く5度以上はあるね。
これがもう5～10分おきなので、カーディガンを羽織ったり脱いだり…ほんとにめんどくさい天気!
It was sunny, but there was a big temperature gap between when it's sunny and the sun hid itself behind clouds.
When the sun was out, it was burning hot.
But it was suddenly cool down as soon as the sun went behind clouds.
At least 5 degrees gap, I guess...
私はキッシュ、相方さんはバゲット・サンド。
どちらもおいしかった! （おなかすいてたので食べかけですいません。）
ミルクシェイクも頼みましたが、あっさり目だけどおいしい。
でも、やっぱりケーキを試さなくっちゃ…。
食器もヴィンテージのを使っていて、かわいかったです!!
絶対ケーキもおいしいに違いない!!
I took a slice of quiche, and my partner took a baguette sandwich.
Both of them were good.
I had milk shake too. It was delicious as well1
But I must try their cake.....
They have vintage tablewares. So cute!
Their cakes must be very good!!
ケーキを食べなかったのは、アイスを買うと決めていたから。
実は、このClapham Commonにおいしいと有名なアイス屋さんがあったので、ここに来る事にしたのです。
メインはむしろアイスクリーム。
私はピスタチオ、相方さんはヘイゼルナッツ、とナッツナッツな組み合わせ。
Mサイズだったのもありますが、濃厚でかなり最後のほうは苦しかった!
おいしいのはおいしいんだけど、Sサイズでも十分だったかも!
ちなみに、Macaronでもアイス売ってます。
The reason why we didn't take cakes was we wanted to have ice creams!
We decided to come to Clapham Common because we wanted to try an ice cream shop here.
I took pistachio, my partner had hazel nut.
It was a big scoop and I was struggling to finish it!
By the way, Macaron has ice creams too.
緑の中にぽつぽつと咲く白いデイジーって、とってもガーリーな花だと思うの。
…って、きゃいきゃいいってたら、相方さんがこんなことしてくれました。
I love white daisies in green. I think it's very girly.
久しぶりにサンシャインの元、光合成…。
でも、日光より何より、あそこのカフェのケーキ、食べるべきだった!!!
っていう後悔が一番心に残っている日曜日でした。
近いうちにまた戻るつもりです。ケーキ食べに。
It had been a while to have a picnic in the sunshine....
But what I only remember about that day was I regret I should have had their cake!!
I will go back there soon to try their cake..... :)
