Mont Saint-Michel~Outside ~ 天空の城。

ま、お城じゃないんですけども。

島にそびえたつその姿は、お城のようでとても雄大。

ヨーロッパの人は知らない人も多いのですが、
日本人は、「天空の城ラピュタ」のイメージもあって、
ほとんどの人が知ってる、憧れの地、モン･サン･ミッシェル。

戦争の時代には要塞にも使われた、修道院です。

やっぱりその姿を外から見るのがとても美しいと思う…。

ので、今回はモン･サン･ミッシェルの外からの写真を集めてみました。


Mont Saint-Michel is not a castle, but looks like it and very magnificent and beautiful.
It is an abbey and was used as a fortress during wars.
It is very famous sightseeing spot for Japanese people.
I think the best way to see it is from outside......
So I collected my photos of Mont Saint-Michel from outside.

ホテルの裏には堤防みたいなのができていて、
モン･サン･ミッシェルまで続く道が途中までできていました。

防波堤の一番端には大きなウッドデッキみたいなのがあって、
たぶんそこからモン･サン･ミッシェルを眺めるようになっているんでしょう、いい眺め!!


There was a bank in the back of our hotel, and there was a way to Mont Saint-Michel.
In the end of the bank, there was a huge wood deck.
I think it was for the tourists to see Mont Saint-Michel.
It was a great view, indeed.

というのも、モン･サン･ミッシェルまでの道はまだまだ工事中で、
ブルドーザーが作業していたり、地がむき出しでとても画にならない…。

車でいけるようになったのは便利だけどね。

私はいまだにモン・サン・ミッシェルまでの道が満潮になると水没すると思っていましたよ…。


The road to Mont Saint-Michel is still under construction.
It wasn't beautiful scenery with a bulldozer and the ground.
It's convenient to drive to the front of the entrance, though.
I was still thinking the road is sunk when it's high tide.

本当ならこんな草原がずっと広がっていて、
前回の羊たちもここにいて、モン・サン・ミッシェルを背景に草を食べていたんだろうに…。

この写真もがんばって構図を捕らえたけど、やっぱりブルドーザーが入っちゃった。：（


The surroundings should be green plain spread,
the sheep should be here and eating glass.......
I tried to capture the angle, but I couldn't get rid of the bulldozer.... :(

それでも何とかしてきれいなモン・サン・ミッシェルを撮ってみる。

But I tried to take a beautiful photo with Mont Saint-Michel.

間近で見ると、本当に雄大でステキ…。

頭の中にはドラクエの天空城のBGMが流れているよ…。


You realize how beautiful it is when you see Mont Saint-Michel closer.

モン・サン・ミッシェルの周りには、浅瀬というか、砂州がずっと続いていて、
これまた幻想的な風景。


Around Mont Saint-Michel, the massive sandbank spread to the sea.
It also looks romantic.

何にもない草原に天使のはしごがおりて、

The angel's ladder came down to the plain.....

水面には空が映りこんで、

The sky was reflected on the water surface.

砂の陸地はどこまでも、どこまでも続いてく。

The sandy land leads to the end of the world.

モン・サン・ミッシェルを見終わった人たちは砂州の探検に出ていたけれど、
私の靴が前日の雨でびしょぬれのバレエシューズのうえに、
時間もなかったので、断念。


People who finished seeing Mont Saint-Michel inside went to the sandbank to explore.
But I had to give up because we didn't have enough time
and my shoes were still soaked from the rain yesterday!!

裏から見たモン・サン・ミッシェルは木々に囲まれて、これまたラピュタみたい。

The back of the Mont Saint-Michel was also beautiful in trees.

子供たちは水着で水遊び。

モン・サン・ミッシェルの中よりも、子供たちにはこっちのほうが楽しそうだ。


Kids were playing in the water with bathing suits.
I guess they enjoyed more than the inside of abbey.

帰るころには、雲も晴れて、もっといいお天気に!!

青い空と、緑の草原のコントラストがきれい。


When we left,  it became sunny!  The contrast of the blue sky and the green plain was just great.

こちらがホテル裏の堤防。

ホテルの真裏ではないけれど、もっとモン・サン・ミッシェルから離れたところでは、
このようにピクニックテーブルなどがあって、気持ちよさそう!


This is the bank leads to the back of our hotel.
It's a bit far from Mont Saint-Michel but there were some picnic table.  What a nice view.

もっと遠くから見たモン・サン・ミッシェル。　

黄色い花に囲まれて、どこから見てもやっぱりステキ。

こちらは、土砂降りの雨の中がんばって撮ったショット。

雨だし暗いし、無理か…。と思ったけど、これはわりとましだった。


I took this photos in the heavy rain.......  It was dark and cold and wet...!!
I almost gave up to have nice shot, but this was ok.


＊おまけ

こちらが今回泊まったホテル!

高くもないし安くもない、普通ホテル。

でも目の前にお土産屋にも使えるスーパーがあって、それは便利だったかな。

レストランもまわりにあって、フロントがお勧めしてくれた隣のレストランはバカ高かった。

なので歩いて別のレストランに行ったけれど、こちらも高いだけでおいしいとはいえなかったな。

でも歩いてモン・サン・ミッシェルへ行けるので、場所的には便利です。

それでは次回はモン・サン・ミッシェルの中へ!


This is our hotel.
It was not expensive, not cheap,  average.
But there was a supermarket which you can buy lots of souvenirs, it's convenient.
There were some restaurants.
We asked the receptionist about the nice restaurant.
He recommended the next door but it was so expensive!!
We went to the other restaurant but it was just expensive, not good.
But still Mont Saint-Michel is walking distance, convenient.
Let's see the inside of Abbey next time!
