Cafe & Sweets & Girl talk

先週末は金曜日からカフェで甘い物三昧でした!

金曜日はMidoryちゃんが日本に帰ってしまうということで、最後にランチ＆お茶。

とってもいいお天気だったので、二人のお気に入りのTowpathへ。


I've been eating lots of sweets since last Friday!!

Last Friday, I saw my friend Midory for lunch and tea
because she was going back to Japan.
It was very good weather so that we went to Towpath.

本当にTowpath日和!!　といえるほど、とても気持ちのいいお天気でした。

このカフェは野外だけど、ランチはおいしくてヘルシーだし、
アイスクリームもおいしいし、（もちろん食べた!）
こんな夏日にはぴったりのカフェ。

このカフェが家の近くにもあるといいんだけど!


It was really good weather to go to Towpath!!
This cafe is outdoor, but their food is very yummy and healthy,
their ice cream is sooooooo good.  (of course we had it!)
The cafe is perfect in Spring and Summer day.
I wish there is a similar one near our flat!!



Midoryちゃんは私のブログを日本にいたときから読んでいてくれて、
コメントしてくれたのをきっかけにロンドンであったのだけれど、
こちらの友達には、実はそんなにヴィンテージやカフェに興味がありまくり!って人がいなくて、
Midoryちゃんとはカフェめぐりやかわいいもの、女子トークなどしてすっごく楽しかった!

写真や旅の話でもインスピレーションや刺激をもらえました。
（特に、会ったときは治療中だったので。）

なので、Midoryちゃんが帰ってしまうのはとっても寂しい!!


Midory was one of my blog readers.
We met in London after she commented to my blog.
I enjoyed girl talk with her about nice cafes, cute and vintage stuff, and love :)
Talking with her about photos and travels also inspired and stimulated me too.
(Specially I was under the treatment when I met her.)
So I feel so sad about her leaving.

ハックニーの住宅街を歩きながら別のカフェに移動して、今度はお茶。

別れはバスのせいであっという間だったけど、
名残惜しかったよ～!　

日本からのステキなブログも楽しみにしてます!


We moved to another cafe for tea, walking through Hackney.
We didn't have time to say good bye properly because of the bus,
but I miss her so much.
I'm looking forward to reading her blog from Japan!



土曜は、これまたブログにコメントを下さって以来、
買い付けのたびにお茶に誘ってくださるCさんと再会。

この日はイーストでワークショップがあったので、
そのあとに、ずーっとずーっと行きたかったCake Holeでお茶。


Last Saturday,  I met my friend C from Japan.
She comes to London for buying for her business a few times a year.
I had a workshop in East London,
so went to Cake Hole after that, which I've wanted to go for a long time.

同じ屋根の下にあるVintage Heavenにはよく行くのだけれど、
いつもフラワーマーケットの日曜に行くので、
このカフェはいつも満員では入れなかったのです。

この日は土曜日だったのでさすがにすいてた!

買い付けの話から世間話まで、楽しかったです!

お茶のあとは閉店間際のVintage Heavenに居座って物色。

とってもステキな青バラのトリオを見つけたのだけれど、
来週のヴィンテージフェアに備えて節約か～とあきらめたら、
Cさん、あっさりお買い上げ!　

近々Cさんのサイトにアップされる予定ですよ!


I often went to Vintage Heaven which is the vintage shop in the same house of the cafe.
But I always went there on Sunday,  which is flower market day, so it was always full.
But it was Saturday that day, so the cafe wasn't busy.
We enjoyed talking about our vintage business and so on......

そのあと、次の日に初の日曜のコロンビアロードに来るCさんをご案内。

Jesse Chorley & Buddugではイースターの飾りつけ。

いつ来てもどこまでもガーリーでスウィートな世界が広がっている!


After that, I showed around Columbia Road to C who'd never been there on Sunday.
The photo is the Easter deco window of Jesse Chorley & Buddug.
Their window is always girly and sweet!!

日曜の朝は、私がワークショップとガールズトークで出かけている間に、
相方さんがワッフルをサプライズで用意してくれていました!

ワッフルメーカーはイギリスでは見つけられなかったので、
クリスマスプレゼントとして、フランスのお義姉さんから。

届いたのを内緒にして、日曜の朝にいきなり作ってくれました～!

朝から甘甘ですが、おいしかった～!


While I was out for the workshop and meeting up with C on Saturday,
my partner prepared for waffles!!
We couldn't find a waffle maker
 so we asked his sister in France to buy one for us as a Christmas present.
He didn't tell me we've got a waffle maker, then he surprised me in Sunday morning!!
Waffles for Sunday breakfast......!!!
It was really good!



そして、この日は第一日曜日。

カーブーツセールの日!!

引っ越して以来、家具を見たかったので毎月楽しみにしていたのに、
2月は雪、3月は雨と天候に恵まれず。

3ヶ月ごしにようやく行くことができました!


And it was the first Sunday of the month....  It's Car boot day!!!
I'd been looking forward to going there to look for furniture since we moved.
But it was snowing in the February sale, and it was raining in the March sale.
And finally we could go there after 3 months!!

カーブーツ会場の隣の公園もとってもステキ。

I love the park next to the car boot sale.

カーブーツのあとは、公園のカフェでランチ。

こちらのカフェはとっても人気で、

公園のカフェとは思えないくらいおいしい!!

 （お値段も公園っぽくないけど!）

周りがセレブの多いポッシュなエリアなので、レベルが高いのでしょうかね。

ここのケーキもとってもおいしいんだ～。

We had lunch at the cafe in the park.

The cafe is so popular and it tastes really good, you can't believe it's just a cafe in a park!

(but the price also doesn't suit as a cafe in the park.....)

Chiswick is so posh area that the cafe is on high level......

Their cakes are also very good......

お昼を食べた後は、お散歩。

相方さんは初めて来たので、私も初めてゆっくりぐる～っと回りました。

ステキな温室発見!　バラも咲きそうだし、これからの季節が楽しみ。


After lunch, we walked around the park.
My partner had never been there, also I had never looked around everything there.
I found a beautiful conservatory. 
There was a rose garden as well,  I'm looking forward to coming back in the season of roses!

そしてこちらが今回の収穫!!

ちょっと出遅れていたのだけれど、来て速攻、この家具コーナーに直行！

そしてこのテーブルに二人で一目ぼれ!!

サイズといい、デザインといい、まさに二人の理想がそこに。

しかも￡60!　これは買いでしょう!!

と思ったら、配達不可!!　さすがにこれはバスじゃ持って帰れね～!

でも、親切なディーラーのお兄ちゃんが配達してくれることに!!

あ～～～～～、ほんとよかった!

配達代込みで85ポンドになっちゃったけど、
ポートベローでヴィンテージのテーブルを400ポンドで買おうとしていたことを考えると、
ぜんぜんお得!!

ワックス塗ったり、ペンキ塗りなおしたり、とまだ手直しは必要だけど、
理想のテーブルがやっとおうちに来たのでうれしい!


And this is what we got in the car boot!
We came late but we went to the stall of furniture as soon as we arrived there,
and we found it!   We loved it at the first sight.
The size, the design, the price, .......everything was perfect!!
It was ￡60.  We had to buy it!!!
But unfortunately they didn't deliver for us.  We couldn't bring it back home by bus!
Then, we found someone very kindly to deliver it to our home!
I'm sooooooooo relieved and happy!
It became ￡85 included the delivery fee, but its still cheap.
Compared with the ￡400 table in Portbello  which I was thinking to buy!
We need to wax it and paint it again, but I'm so happy with this!

そして、もうひとつの収穫がこちら。
これと同じ柄のカップのトリオと、大、中のお皿、シュガーボウルで10ポンド。

そのときは高っ!っと思ったけど、今考えたらまあ、リーズナブルかな。

テーブルでお金をほとんど使ったし、家を出たのも遅かったので、
この日はこれだけの収穫だったけれど、
テーブルだけでも大満足!　の一日!

そして買ってきたお皿でまたもやワッフル…。

甘くて楽しい週末だったけれど、さすがに体が「もういいです」って言ってます…。


Another one I got in the car boot.
I got the same checky trio and a big and a small plates, and sugar bowl. 
Altogether ￡10．
I thought it was expensive, but now, I think it was quite resonable!
I used most of the money I had that day for the table, also we left home very late,
we only got them that day.  But I was really satisfied with them!
Then, waffle again for tea time with my new plate..... :)

It was the happy and sweet weekend indeed, but my body is telling me "That's enough......."
